Special Needs

The Muslim Unity Center is partnering with MUHSEN (Muslims Understanding and Helping Special Education Needs) to bring about programs and accessibility services to Muslims with disabilities in our community. MUHSEN works to certify masjids across the country at three levels. The goal of the certification program is to help masjids move towards a more inclusive community that welcomes people with disabilities and their families. They do this by helping masjids create educational programs and social events directed towards people with disabilities, their families, and the community at large. They also guide masjids to make their buildings, programs, classes, and lectures more accessible to everyone.

In order to realize our goal for a more diverse and inclusive community, we need to know more about you so that we can tailor our future efforts to your specific needs. If you or your family member has a physical or developmental disability, please help us by filling out the survey below. Your answers are strictly confidential and will only go to MUHSEN. They will then compile and send us the data.  Your participation in this survey will help us provide you with a fulfilling and positive experience in your Muslim community Inshallah.
